The main purpose of the Foundation is to support outstanding students of psychology and cognitive sciences by providing them means to acquire international research experience and enter faster into scientific networks

Foundation "Professor Borislav Lorenc" was established in December 2010 by the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade with the aim to support outstanding students of psychology and cognitive sciences by providing them means to acquire international research experience. The Foundation provides grants for travel and substinence for scholarly visits to renown research centers in psychology and cognitive sciences.

About Professor
Borisalv Lorenc

The Foundation preserves the memory of Borislav Lorenc (1883-1975), philosopher and professor at the Faculty of Theology in Belgrade, whose most important works include ”Psychology”, ”Thought and action” and ”Psychology and philosophy of religion”

Professor Lorenc's most important work includes ”Psychology” (1926), ”Thought and action” (1930) and ”Psychology and philosophy of religion” (1939). Furthermore, he spoke several languages: English, German, French, Russian, and Latin, so consequently he had an impressively wide approach to professional literature at the time. Hence, among his work a special place is reserved for the translation of Sigmund Freud’s "Introduction to psychoanalysis" from German to Serbian.
